A guide to our boot camp training
At BaseCamp we’ve taken the best from the boot camp training concept, ie we control your exercise output so you achieve the maximum reduction in body fat over a week.
However, exercise is only part of the answer. Our weight loss, boot camp training programme also applies the basic principles of nutritional science (that means no food fads) so you eat a diet that is proven to help you lose weight with enjoyable and satisfying meals.
In addition we want you to keep off the weight you lose with us and we send you away with the means and the knowledge to stay slimmer and healthier when you get home. During your week with us, you’ll learn a great deal about why the body needs the right food and exercise and how we can stay motivated to change our lifestyle to achieve more balance.

Sticking to an Exercise: Regime: Why do so many people find it so difficult? We’ll discuss the various reasons of why, despite the obvious benefits of exercise, less than 20% of the UK regularly exercises.
Exercise Benefits: We’ll look at how correct exercise prescription can benefit the wide range of health problems such as obesity, diabetes and CHD, often associated with the western world.
Food 4 Thought: A back-to-basic look at the foods we eat...and the foods we need.
Nutrition for Optimal Performance: A detailed look at the types, amounts and ratios of the different food groups required for optimal performance; and the most effective way of refuelling the body.
Weight Loss Programming: Find out the most effective and sustainable methods to lose and keep off excess body fat. No fads or crazes - just scientifically proven methods.
Exercise & the Older Adult: What are the barriers to an active life as we age? What benefits can we expect from exercise as we move into our later years? We take a detailed look at the barriers and benefits of exercise for the older population.
Exercise & Mental Health: Poor mental health will affect 1 in 4 of us at some time during our lives. With the stresses of work and home life increasing, these statistics are expected to rise significantly over the next decade. What role can exercise intervention play in alleviating this worrying trend?
